A magical stay at Disneyland. Over the summer I was lucky enough to stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Every time I visit Disneyland I always make a point to head to the Grand Californian Hotel to enjoy a meal and sit in the beautiful lobby listening to music while watching people go by (it’s a great place to put your feet up and rest!). This hotel is just incredible and has recently undergone a massive renovation. We lucked out and managed to snag a newly renovated room for our stay that overlooked the monorail and had views of the fireworks at night! Take a look at our room below!
Checking-In at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
^ We upgraded to the Club Level for our stay and it comes with plenty of perks. Upon arrival you get a quicker and more specialized check-in at a private concierge lounge known as the E-Ticket Club. Throughout your stay you have access to the lounge where they serve breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day and special desserts to watch the firework show. Personally, I found it to be a great deal (especially if you’re one to come back to the room for a rest throughout the day!). It was lovely to wake up in the morning and know you have breakfast and coffee waiting for you! ^
^ Pool views, if you look close enough in the background you can see Cars Land! Our room wasn’t ready so we took advantage of one the incredible outdoor balconies to enjoy the views.^
Newly Renovated Room
^ Gorgeous. ^
^ Look at all the details. Love the orange tree, Chip and Dale have sure made themselves comfortable! Also, the most comfortable beds EVER (which is much needed after a day at the parks!).^
^ The bathroom updates are perfect! The walk in shower is beautiful (although, not sure how practical it is for families with children…). ^
^ This is a piece of artwork of the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Around that Walt used to take his girls to and ultimately inspired Disneyland (more to come about this in a future post!). ^
^ Monorail! It was so fun to watch the monorail go by every day. ^
^ Watching the fireworks from our balcony. What a perfect way to end the day! ^
